East African Gospel Artistes To Release The Sold Out Riddim
Just a few months after the release of the first east African gospel dancehall riddim; Kenyan airways, the East African dancehall artistes are not resting but yet to release another riddim titled SOLD OUT.
It’s a combination of Jamaican and east African artistes, its hot and its better. The riddim which is set to be released in less than two weeks, produced at Kish records by Trophimus, one of the highly respected gospel music producers in Uganda.
The general message behind the riddim as explained by Trophimus is about; being totally sold out to God. “Every single track on the riddim talks about coming close to God, totally giving ourselves to him and not letting go, getting sold out to him” he went on to explain.
The riddim has more of a ragga touch to it, and definitely spirit filled lyrics. It has more than 10 tracks on it. 3 Ugandans (Phila, Richie and Robinsan), 3 Kenyans (Dafari, Ting Seh and Pr. Samukat) and 4 Jamaicans (Alleluyah Bwoy, Rhoan Dell, LM Fidem and Fabrice Colas) combined to pull this off.
Some of the tracks included are;
1. Books Will Open- Phila
2. Men- Richie
3. Gospel Hall – Alleluyah Bwoy
4. Jesus Mi need- LM fidem ft Fabrice Colas
5. Am a worshiper – Rhoan Dell
6. Mi nah fret – Robinsan
7. Choices – Dafari
8. Clean – Ting Seh
We caught up with a few artistes and they had this to say about their tracks on the riddim,
Dafari -“the message is basically about the choices people make in life, some choose Life, and others choose the pleasures of life”
Ting seh –“The Message Behind it is simply a young man who has decided and made up in his mind and purposed in his heart to live a Clean life as God would require of him as per the chorus Goes despite the temptations, Pressure¬ and friends who choose to live otherwise. Keep us in prayer… God bless”
Phila –“ books will be open is the name of the track, the song reminds us that the books will be open on judgment day and everyone will sow what they seeded on earth, so let’s get sold out to God now and avoid eternal fire when the books are open”
The riddim is highly anticipated, it’s unique in its own way and well-orchestrated by the producer and the artistes.
